The Axia Quasar is a broadcast mixing console with native Audio over IP architecture, introduced by Telos Alliance in 2020 at the top of the Axia range. It is built on the Quasar Engine, a 1U AoIP mix engine offering 16 stereo channels expandable to 64, a 4-band parametric EQ, dynamics processing and an automixer on every channel, four program buses and eight auxiliary buses.
The surface comes in two variants sharing the same frame, power supply and master module: the Quasar XR, with motorised faders, for complex workflows (layers, configuration recall, remote control); and the Quasar SR, with non-motorised faders and larger buttons, for simplified on-air operation. Frames hold 4 to 24 faders, up to 32 in linked frames and 64 in split-frame configurations. The central module carries a 12.1-inch IPS TFT touchscreen; every channel has colour TFT displays and RGB buttons.
The console connects to the Axia network (Livewire+ / AES67) over a single Ethernet cable, or two for redundancy; the engine accepts an optional redundant power supply. A software version, Quasar Soft, reproduces the surface on screen.
