History & design
The AEQ Capitol IP is an ultra-compact, programmable digital broadcast mixing console designed for audio over IP. The counter-sunk control surface comes in 8- or 12-fader versions (the 12-fader version is counter-sunk mount only), with 100 mm faders and two direct routing keys per channel.
The engine processes up to sixteen stereo signals (up to eight on faders, the rest hidden), with per-channel three-band parametric EQ, high-pass and low-pass filters, a compressor/limiter and a noise gate. AoIP networking runs through an internal 16- or 32-channel Dante/AES67 module; MADI I/O is also available.
Options include a redundant power supply and a dual digital telephone hybrid. The engine occupies two rack units (482 mm wide, 89 mm high) and weighs 5.2 to 6 kg depending on options.
