History & design
The Forum IP is a modular digital radio console from Spain's AEQ, launched in the mid-2010s and built around audio over IP. The surface scales from 4 to 12 faders on the standard chassis, and up to 20 freely assignable faders with the Grand Forum IP chassis. The audio core accepts AoIP cards of 64 inputs and 64 outputs, AES67-compatible through Audinate's Dante technology; an optional bidirectional MADI fibre link (64 channels) is available. For automation, the console offers 8 GPI and 8 GPO opto-isolated plus 4 relay GPO outputs.
The Forum IP Split version separates the engine from the control surface: the control modules, mountable in 3U, combine up to five quad-channel modules with a control and monitoring unit. This modularity targets self-operated or booth-controlled radio studios as well as TV production and audio production.
