History & design
The Mackie AXIS Digital Mixing System is a digital live mixing system introduced in 2016. It pairs the Dante-connected DC16 control surface with the DL32R rack mixer and the Master Fader iOS app. The DC16 offers 17 channel strips with 100mm Alps motorised touch faders, a per-channel encoder and 26 backlit colour screens, plus three iPad docks with built-in charging. The DL32R adds 32 mic/line inputs with Onyx+ preamps and 18 assignable outputs with flexible routing. The system communicates over Dante (4x4 on the surface, dual locking Ethercon).
