The DL16S is the 16-channel model in Mackie's DL series, fully controlled by the Master Fader app (iOS, Android, Windows, macOS) over built-in Wi-Fi. It offers sixteen Onyx+ mic preamps, thirty-two mixing channels, thirteen output buses (six aux and six stereo-linkable subgroups plus the main bus) and four FX processors. Every channel has a four-band parametric EQ, highpass filter, noise gate and compression; the outputs add a 31-band graphic EQ, compressor/limiter and alignment delay.
Its form factor is the main draw: a rugged rack-mountable box with no control surface, placed close to the sources to save cabling. Up to twenty devices can control it at once — handy for musician-run monitor mixes. The 16 x 16 USB interface handles multitrack recording and playback to a computer.
