History & design
The DL32R is a three-rack-unit digital mixer with no physical control surface: all control goes through the Master Fader app, with no fixed front-of-house position. Up to twenty devices (iOS, Android, macOS, Windows) can connect at once.
It carries 32 Onyx+ mic preamps, 14 XLR outputs, a stereo AES output and 1/4-inch monitor outputs, plus a slot for a Dante expansion card. Each channel has a 4-band parametric EQ, a gate and a compressor, backed by three stereo FX processors, for a 1.5 ms system latency.
For production, the DL32R handles direct-to-disk multitrack recording and playback and doubles as a 32x32 USB 2.0 audio interface (ProTools First included). Launched in 2014, it targets small live sound, bands mixing without a dedicated engineer and the mobile studio.
