History & design
The Crescendo (now offered as Crescendo platinum) is Stage Tec's compact digital console. It carries the brand's Direct Access concept: every audio parameter — EQ, dynamics, auxiliaries — is reachable straight from the strip or the central section, with no cascading menus. The strips use Stage Tec's signature dual rotary encoders and clear displays that stay readable in low light.
The surface (AURATUS) is purely a user interface: all processing and routing live in the NEXUS STAR, with a 4096 x 4096 crosspoint matrix and MADI or fibre-optic cards. Fully expanded (seven DSP boards), the Crescendo delivers 300 real channels and 128 summing buses, up to 96 of them aux — enough for 96 separate mixes, for instance monitor feeds. The 32-bit TrueMatch converters, an in-house patent since 1996, give unmatched input dynamic range. Its shallow installation depth makes it easy to fit into compact control rooms.
