History & design
The Genesys is a studio console with a fully analogue signal path and digital control, made by AMS Neve from 2009. It carries genuine transformer-based Neve 1073 mic preamps and offers, optionally per strip, an 88RS-derived EQ. Its appeal: pairing that analogue sound with Total Recall, automation and built-in DAW control and monitoring, in a frame scalable from 16 to 64 strips.
The Genesys Black variant reworks the concept with a black finish and extended DAW and monitoring integration, aimed at hybrid studios that want to drive their workstation while keeping analogue summing and preamps. The Genesys suits the producer or studio after the Neve signature without the footprint or budget of one of the brand's large consoles.
