History & design
The Soundcraft Ui12, launched in 2015, is a rackmount digital mixer with no control surface: everything is operated remotely through an embedded HTML5 interface, from any browser, with no app to install. The built-in Wi-Fi supports up to ten simultaneous devices (smartphone, tablet, computer).
For connectivity it offers four XLR/jack combo mic-line inputs, four additional XLR mic inputs, two Hi-Z inputs, a stereo RCA line input and a two-track USB media player. Outputs include balanced XLR and jack main outputs, two XLR aux outputs and two headphone outputs.
Processing is by HARMAN: Lexicon reverbs, delays and chorus, DigiTech amp modelling and dbx AFS2 automatic feedback suppression. Every channel has a 4-band parametric EQ, high-pass filter, compressor, de-esser and gate; every output has a 31-band graphic EQ and a compressor.
