History & design
Launched in 2014, the Soundcraft Si Impact is the entry model of the Si range. It targets bands, houses of worship and venues that want a complete digital console and multitrack recording without breaking the bank.
It processes 40 channels (32 mono inputs and 4 stereo channels/returns), with 32 mic inputs and eight combo XLR/jack connectors for lines and instruments, into 31 output buses, all with full DSP processing and graphic EQ. The surface carries 26 motorised faders with the FaderGlow lighting system, which colour-codes each fader's current function.
For processing, the console carries four Lexicon effects engines (reverbs, delays, modulations), dbx dynamics and BSS graphic EQs. A 32-in/32-out USB audio interface handles multitrack recording and playback to a computer. An optional Soundcraft stage box connects over a single Cat5 cable, and the ViSi Remote app controls the console from an iPad.
