History & design
The Vi3000 is a live and broadcast digital console launched by Soundcraft in 2014. It carries over the Vi series' Vistonics II interface — four touchscreens above the encoders, paired with the 36 FaderGlow faders whose backlighting changes colour according to the assigned function.
The console handles up to 96 input channels to 24 mono/stereo buses, with 48 local mic preamps (48 inputs and 16 analog outputs on the rear). It is the first Soundcraft to include a 64-channel Dante interface as standard; the local MADI and Dante ports share a single, exclusive input. Two expansion bays take MADI Stagebox cards to connect Soundcraft remote input modules. An optional stagebox provides 64 mic/line inputs and 32 outputs. The power supply is redundant.
