History & design
Launched in 2017, the PreSonus StudioLive 32 Series III is the 32-channel model of the third-generation StudioLive line. It targets bands, houses of worship and small venues that want a versatile digital console, as comfortable at front of house as in recording.
The surface carries 33 touch-sensitive 100 mm motorised faders and 40 inputs, 32 of them on recallable XMAX mic preamps. Every channel runs through the Fat Channel section (EQ, dynamics, filters). The engine offers 16 flexible mix buses and four internal effects buses. Converters run at 24-bit, 44.1 or 48 kHz, for a quoted 115 dB of dynamic range.
Built-in AVB networking, on EtherCon connectors, sends audio out to PreSonus stage boxes and monitor mixers. The console has an SD-card multitrack recorder with one-touch Capture, acts as a 34x34 USB and 55x55 AVB interface, and ships with the in-house software suite (UC Surface for control, Capture for recording, Studio One for mixing).
