History & design
Introduced in 2007 (first under the Digidesign brand), the Profile is a compact control surface of the VENUE system. It does no processing itself: it drives a Stage Rack, remote racks or a Mix Rack that combines I/O and DSP. Depending on the paired rack, the system accepts up to 96 inputs and 24 buses.
The surface carries 33 motorised faders (24 for input and FX-return banks, 8 for outputs and VCAs, 1 for the L-C-R master), eight rotary output encoders, dedicated dynamics and EQ encoders, and eight GPI inputs and outputs. Processing uses a TDM architecture with VENUE-format plug-ins. The VENUE software, shared across the range, guarantees show-file portability. Sales ended in the summer of 2016.
