Our take
History & design
The Midas PRO3 is a digital live console (also usable in the studio) introduced in 2009, positioned as the compact, more affordable option in the PRO Series (alongside the PRO6 and PRO9). It offers 48 input channels (up to 56 depending on configuration) with remote-controlled mic preamps, 27 mix buses and six stereo effects engines. Like the whole PRO Series, it runs 40-bit floating-point processing with managed latency and provides VCA and POPulation groups. Network connectivity relies on AES50 (SuperMAC), with MADI available via optional card.
