History & design
The Midas PRO6 is a live digital mixing console launched in 2008, following the XL8. It processes 64 input channels to 35 mix buses, with 40-bit floating-point processing at 96 kHz from the DL371 audio engine (five DL371A cards, 24 Gflops). The Control Centre surface carries 29 Midas PRO 100 mm motorised faders and favours layer-free navigation via 10 VCA and 6 POPulation groups.
Connectivity is built on AES50 and HyperMAC networking, dynamically assigning up to 288 inputs and 294 outputs at 96 kHz through remote DL stageboxes fitted with Midas preamps. The console offers redundant power supplies and network links. By adding DSP and I/O modules, the PRO6 could be upgraded to PRO9 configuration (88 channels), a longevity asset. Its dimensions (1365 × 924 × 431 mm) and weight (90 kg) place it among mid-size touring surfaces.
