History & design
Introduced in 2015, the Midas M32R carries the engine and sonic design of the M32 into a smaller rackable form factor (9U). It handles 40 input channels and 25 buses (16 mix buses, 6 matrices, main LR and mono/centre), with 16 Midas PRO mic preamps on the surface and ADC/DAC conversion up to 192 kHz.
The surface offers 17 motorised 100 mm faders and a 5-inch colour TFT display driven by encoders. For networking, two AES50 ports open 96 inputs and 96 outputs to the DL16 and DL32 stageboxes, an Ultranet P16 port feeds personal monitoring, and an expansion slot takes a 32-channel USB audio card. The range includes the M32R LIVE and M32R Player variants.
