Introduced in 2009, the Artemis is a Calrec broadcast mixing console sharing the technological core of the Apollo platform: the Bluefin2 processing engine and the proprietary Hydra2 audio network. It comes in three variants by processing power — Shine (up to 680 paths), Beam (340) and Light (240).
Mixing offers up to 128 program buses, 64 IFB/track outputs and 32 auxiliaries. The modular surface carries dual-layer motorised faders (common 40- or 64-fader surfaces) and TFT metering screens. The fibre-based Hydra2 network distributes remote I/O across an OB truck or a studio complex, with MADI interfaces. The design prioritises the redundancy and reliability expected in broadcast.
