Allen & Heath GLD-80

Compact live digital mixing system with remote AudioRacks

Description

For many rental companies and venues the GLD-80 was the first truly "serious" digital console at a reachable price. What I like at its controls is the iLive heritage in a compact format: a real physical channel-processing section (preamp, parametric EQ, compressor, gate) alongside a touchscreen, rather than an all-screen approach. With its Cat5-linked AudioRacks, it brought FOH/monitor splits and multitrack recording within reach of modest budgets.
