History & design
The Dimension Three is a large-format digital audio console designed by Wheatstone for television production. It is built on the Gibraltar mixing engine, capable of processing up to 1024 simultaneous DSP channels, letting it tackle the most demanding productions.
It offers 16 submixes configurable as mono, stereo or 5.1, 16 stereo aux sends, 16 dedicated mix-minus buses, plus a Bus-Minus (N-1) / Direct output for each of the up to 128 input channels, and two stereo masters plus two 5.1 masters. For operation, it integrates automatic mic mixing (AutoMix), audio-follow-video switching (AFV), 99 show presets for full recall of setups and a USB interface on the meter bridge. Any channel can take any source, in HD/SDI, AES, MADI, audio-over-IP, analog or TDM.
