History & design
The Tascam TM-D1000 is a compact 16-channel digital mixing console introduced at NAB 1998, aimed at the home studio, project studio and smaller professional setups. Its first 8 channels take analog inputs (including 4 XLR mic inputs with +48 V phantom power) and the next 8 take digital inputs.
Every channel has a 3-band EQ, with a parametric mid and sweepable highs/lows, overlappable from 41 Hz to 16 kHz. The console offers up to 4 aux sends, built-in effects and 128 scenes recallable from the front panel or over MIDI. On the digital side it provides TDIF-1 (8 channels) and S/PDIF, word clock in/out, a selectable 16/20/24-bit word length and sync at both 44.1 and 48 kHz.
