History & design
The Sony SRP-X700P is a powered digital mixer and multimedia audiovisual matrix launched in 2004, aimed at modern presentation systems that must handle microphones, video, audio, DVD and computer graphics. In a rack-mountable 3U chassis it combines the functions of several devices: RGB switcher, video switcher, wireless tuner base, audio mixer, power amplifier, feedback reducer and EQ.
On the audio side it mixes and processes 6 mono and 2 stereo inputs to 10 outputs, with a built-in 150 W stereo power amplifier switchable to high or low impedance. Processing includes EQ, dynamics, routing and delay, a feedback reducer that analyses and pulls out problem frequencies, and an Automix function that analyses signals in real time. A 6×1 AV switcher handles RGB/component, composite and S-video inputs, and up to two optional Sony WRU-806 wireless tuners can be installed.
