The SSL C300 HD Master Studio System is an assignable digital console dedicated to audio post-production for picture (film, television, advertising). Unveiled in 2007 as the HD evolution of the C300, it is built around the centralised Centuri core that groups DSP processing and the I/O matrix, with a remote, scalable control surface from 8 to 96 faders.
The system addresses over 500 mix inputs, 512 channels, 80 mix busses and natively handles multichannel formats up to 7.1. For picture work it integrates 64 PEC/Direct switches, a 128 x 8 monitor matrix, a 32 x 16 re-record matrix and serial control of HD VTRs. It simultaneously controls up to four DAWs via HUI emulation, bringing console paths and DAW tracks onto one surface, and allows multi-operator working from a single core.
