History & design
The DiGiCo SD7B is the broadcast version of the SD7, a high-end digital console with Stealth Digital Processing (FPGA) and a redundant engine. It offers up to 253 input channels, 128 buses (mono, stereo, LCR or 5.1 with full processing), 32 matrix buses and 32 32-band graphic EQs. Processing includes 48 simultaneous Stealth effects (from 33), up to 256 Dynamic EQ and 256 multiband compressors, assignable on any input or output.
The surface brings together three 15-inch TFT touchscreens, each above a bank of 12 faders, plus 16 assignable center faders. The broadcast feature set adds a 5.1 monitor matrix (48x6 source-to-speaker selection), multichannel folding, user-defined stem order, mix-minus buses (one per mono channel), backstop PFL and Auto PFL, and Audio Follow Video. Connectivity reaches 996 optical channels, 224 MADI, 24 analogue and AES/EBU.
