History & design
The DiGiCo SD9 is a compact live digital mixing console positioned as the affordable entry point to the SD series. It brings the brand's Stealth Digital Processing and floating-point Super FPGA technology.
It offers 96 channels total, including 48 Flexi channels configurable as mono or stereo, at 48 or 96 kHz. The surface has 24 touch-sensitive motorised faders and a large 15-inch backlit TFT LCD touchscreen. The local I/O section provides 8 mic inputs, 8 line outputs, 4 mono AES/EBU, one MADI port and two dedicated D-Rack ports.
The SD9 ships with a D-Rack stagebox (32 inputs / 8 outputs, extendable to 16). A factory-fit Optocore option integrates it into a redundant loop with all DiGiCo racks and consoles, and a SoundGrid module gives access to 32 Waves stereo MultiRacks. Preparation and offline control use DiGiCo's Offline Software. SD9B (broadcast) and SD9T (theatre) variants exist.
