History & design
The RIVAGE PM7 is a live and broadcast digital mixing system introduced by Yamaha in 2018. Its core element, the self-contained CSD-R7 console, builds the DSP engine directly into the surface, where the PM10 keeps the CS-R10 surface and DSP-R10 engine separate. The surface matches the exact dimensions and layout of the CS-R10: three bays of twelve faders, three large touchscreens and the Selected Channel section inherited from the analog PM consoles.
The engine processes at 96 kHz up to 120 mono input channels, 60 MIX, 24 MATRIX and 2 STEREO buses, with 48 onboard plug-ins including models developed with Rupert Neve Designs. Connectivity relies on the proprietary TWINLANe network (RPio622/RPio222 racks) and on Dante (Rio-D2 racks), through HY and Mini-YGDAI card slots. Two redundant power supplies are built in.
