Solid State Logic

Solid State Logic Axiom-MT

Large-format digital multitrack console with an SSL analogue-style surface (A-Series engine)

Description

The Axiom-MT is SSL's answer to a question many engineers were asking in the late 1990s: could you get total recall and digital multitrack without giving up the in-line ergonomics of an SL 4000? Sitting behind one, I recognise the SSL logic (one path, one fader, one channel strip) but built on the A-Series digital engine with remote SuperAnalogue mic pres. It is a rare machine, aimed at studio and post, that bridged SSL's analogue heyday and its later large digital consoles.
