History & design
The Roland M-200i is a compact 32-channel digital mixing console launched in 2011 within Roland Systems Group's V-Mixing system. It offers Main L/R, 8 aux sends, 4 matrices and 8 DCAs, with a gate/expander, compressor and 4-band parametric EQ on every channel, plus four multi-effects and four 31-band graphic EQs.
Its signature is a hybrid surface: seventeen motorised faders and dedicated physical controls, complemented by an iPad (sold separately) used as a large touchscreen for effects and graphical adjustments. The iPad link works over wired LAN, Wi-Fi or ad-hoc.
The M-200i carries 24 analog inputs and 12 outputs plus an AES/EBU digital output, expandable to 64×54 via the REAC port. REAC opens access to stage units (S-1608, S-4000S), M-48 personal monitoring and multitrack recording up to 40 channels. 24-bit conversion at 48 kHz.
