History & design
The Midas HD96-24 is the flagship digital mixing console of the Heritage-D series, launched in 2022. It handles 144 simultaneous input channels, 120 time-aligned, phase-coherent mix buses and 24 VCA groups, all at 96 kHz around the 64-bit Graviton MK2 summing engine. The surface carries 28 motorised 100 mm faders and 41 colour LCD displays above the channels, plus a large 21-inch capacitive touchscreen (up to ten touch points).
Connectivity relies on AES50 and HyperMAC networks, a dual Ultranet port and a dual network-bridge format converter, with variants aimed at IP production. Eight Midas mic preamps are onboard, stated latency is 1.34 ms input to output, and touring reliability is ensured by dual redundant power supplies and an integrated wireless module. It comes in tour-pack (flight-case) and install/IP versions.
