History & design
The DHD Series 52 is a modular broadcast mixing platform from German manufacturer DHD.audio, aimed primarily at radio and audio studios. Its philosophy: freely combine control surfaces, processing cores, I/O interfaces and software to suit each studio's exact needs, pairing dedicated broadcast controls with a highly configurable architecture.
The range comes in several models (52/SX, 52/MX, 52/RX, 52/DX). Surfaces offer 4, 8, 12 or 16 faders and a central section with talkback mic, loudspeaker and a 7" TFT touch display. The XS Core runs a real-time operating system, so no PC is required for daily operation.
On connectivity, the Series 52 I/O modules cover AoIP interfaces, a 3G/HD/SD-SDI embedder/de-embedder, MADI and DHD Gigabit Audio; each I/O Core can be fitted with an AES67/RAVENNA (52-7067) or Dante (52-7080) interface to integrate into IP audio infrastructures.
