Fostex
Fostex is the professional brand of Foster Electric, a Japanese manufacturer founded in 1949. Launched in 1973, it made its name with affordable multitrack tape machines, then with the hard-disk digital recorders and portastudios that democratised home studios through the 1990s and 2000s. Fostex also builds monitors, reference headphones and field recording gear.
