History & design
The DiGiCo Quantum225 is a compact digital mixing console launched in 2021, the most affordable of the FPGA-based Quantum range. It offers 72 input channels (96 with the optional Pulse software), 36 buses (48 with Pulse), an LR/LCR master bus and a 12×12 matrix. The surface carries 25 touch-sensitive motorised 100 mm faders across two banks of twelve plus a master, topped by 41 individual TFT LCD displays and a 17-inch multi-touch screen.
At its heart is DiGiCo's Stealth Core 2 FPGA processing at 96 kHz. Onboard connectivity includes 8 analog inputs and 8 outputs, 4 AES channels, two MADI ports, Optocore and UB-MADI, and expands via DMI interface cards (Dante, etc.). A dual-integral-screen Quantum 225 DS version has since joined the line.
