History & design
The dLive C3500 tops Allen & Heath's C Class, the more compact and affordable take on the dLive system. The surface carries 24 motorised faders across six assignable layers (144 strips), two 12-inch touchscreens, six one-knob/one-function assignable rotaries and 19 SoftKeys. Its gesture interface (pinch, swipe, drag-and-drop) avoids menu diving.
Like every dLive surface, the C3500 doesn't process audio itself: it drives a MixRack (XCVI engine) linked over CAT5e via the gigaACE protocol. A C Class system reaches 160 × 64 inputs and outputs at 96 kHz and takes Dante, MADI or Waves SoundGrid cards through its expansion ports. The surface still carries 6 mic/line inputs, 6 line outputs, AES3 and a 128-channel I/O port.
