Waves
Waves Audio was founded in 1992 in Tel Aviv, Israel, by Gilad Keren and Meir Sha'ashua. A pioneer of software audio processing, the company released the Q10, regarded as one of the first commercial audio plug-ins, then built one of the industry's largest plug-in catalogs (EQ, dynamics, reverbs, SSL/API/Abbey Road analog emulations). From the 2010s, Waves expanded its ecosystem into live sound and broadcast through the SoundGrid networking platform, of which the eMotion LV1 (2016) is the flagship software console. Waves remains a major, active player in pro audio software.
